About Aaron Jamieson

Aaron is a professional photographer, based full time in Hokkaido for the last 12 years.

Having worked extensively across Hokkaido as a guide for film crews and athletes Aaron, also coordinates his own film and photographic projects for brands and sponsors as well and privately guided trips.

Aaron’s career has taken him around the world to some of the most challenging and remote environments as a commissioned explorer, photographer and writer for Australian Geographic.

With recent assignments including two months in Greenland, a 6 week project in Patagonia and a full month snow camping for The Roof of Australia project Aaron has a passion for some of the most striking and least visited landscapes on the planet.

This leads to Aaron calling Hokkaido home. With so much still to discover on this island Aaron bases himself from his studio and gallery in Niseko and spends much of his time exploring the undiscovered corners of the island. Now offering to share his explorations with a select group of clients every year with his photography workshops.

That's me... the tiny green dot. Working hard (and hardly working) in Patagonia.
