Chasing Glaciers
An eco aware exploration of Patagonia, crossing The Andes from Argentina to Chile using traditional routes, horses, donkeys, skis and kayaks to explore some of the lesser know volcanoes and backcountry skiing in the region.
What we did
Arriving in Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego it was as though we'd arrived at the end of the world. And indeed we had... with Antartica beyond the horizon to the south and ferocious mountains rising above us looking north, the cold winds felt as though they could flick us from the face of the earth. We spent the next month battling this wind with bouts of snow, sleet and rain reminding us that we had grossly underestimated this place. Patagonia as a region is home to some of the most incredible landscapes on earth - shaped by extreme weather and hidden by impassable terrain. We covered over 3000km's moving north hiking and skiing through some of the most beautiful parts of the Andes.
