About the trip

August 2013

Being convinced to join a gypsy horde of pizza making maniacs, I documented the 40-daylong endurance of the summer music festival scene in Japan.

What we did

Setting out from Hokkaido we drove our convoy of trucks led by a big red pizza bus; to Fuji Rock, then onto Rock In Japan, back to Hokkadio for Rising Sun festival - then all the way back to Honshu for Arabaki Rock. Pumping out 1000's of pizzas to countless festival revilers for 16 hours a day over 40 days – the sleep deprived, exhausted and yeast covered characters of the pizza team made for outstanding characters in this documentary project.
